Ur not a waste of space hun, u just havent found the right job for u yet. Sometimes i believe in fate & that ur perfect job just hasnt been advertised yet. I dont know how it works in the US but can u ask to do work experience somewhere for a week to get ur foot in the door? We had a guy do that at my work about 7 yrs ago & he got a job from it & is still there now on the big bucks... just a thought.

things like this are just a test of will. just remember you rise when others fall. for everyone that quits, makes you stand out more. eventually youll get there. you just have to decide if you want to be one of the quitters or one of the winners. and it doesnt matter how its done, just that its done. there may be some shame and rejection along the way. but those that win the war, write the stories. so once you get to where you want to be, you can always forget the down time. thats what most people do. cause you dont just wake up and be successful. you have to strive for it.

As for the job situation, I have been here in Utah for almost a year and a half and I had one job that lasted 5 weeks and I flipped out with an anxiety attack and had to leave. Since then (April 2008) I have not been able to land anything and believe me...I have put in aps everywhere, even the dreaded WalMart with no luck.

I have to say a lot of it here in the last 6 months would be the economy. I can't blame me for my not getting any hits, and you shouldn't either! Just keep your ears/eyes open hon for stuff (I am sure you have been doing this already) and sooner or later you will land something and it may just be the perfect thing for you!

1. This is one of the worst times in decades to try to get a job.
2. Just saw a program of a company who for $50,000 will get college graduates INTERNSHIPS ... which means NO PAY just so they can get some experience on their resume.
3. You are not useless, .. you have a diploma as proof. You are only missing the opportunity.
4. KEEP LOOKING. Jobs do not find you, you find them. Do not give up. Look every day. You may get a job on the next application or it may take many more. If you do NO applications, ... no job ... ever.
5. This has nothing to do with you not being good enough. Nothing at all. It is a matter of supply and demand.

I'm looking for a medical job, any kind of nursing position.. I'm called a Certified Medical Assistant. After paying tens of thousands of dollars to learn skills to work, I feel like now after 6 months its all useless. My skills have gone down the toilet. Who wants to be a first patient for a nurse who hasn't giving a blood draw in over 6 months?

Everybody right now is looking for work it seems. Its an economy issue. I am sure you have tried all the hospitals and clinics. Also there are state jobs that may be hiring, look into your state website.

Odd thought - I think it\'s ok to feel how you feel. The thing is to not allow those feelings become irrational thoughts/thinking. You may *feel* worthless, when in reality you are not. Feelings are not right or wrong, they just are. My hunch is the feelings will be what motivates you to not give up during this difficult stretch. Don\'t give up, K?
