Has anyone had issues with work and dealing with your depression ?

My work seems to be jerks right now and are stating that Im not stable because i went to hospital to get help faster for a med adjustment before something more serious then just crying happened.

now they seem to think they have the right to know every single detail ect. plus they are not scheduling me any shifts

what are your thoughts keeping in mind I live in Ontario, Canada and rules can be different from the United States.

I ended up leaving my job because of depression and the way I was treated. I did however deal with it for 7 years prior to leaving.

Yes, once you open the door and let them know your business....they are very leary. I would just follow up any new questions with...my Dr. finds that I am doing well now...thank you for asking.

And then...remember...work is work and personal is personal...keep work....work. It sux that you can't be yourself at work..but you just CANT

I just started working again after not working for 11 years. no way will I tell them about my depression and anxiety. It is against the law to discriminate against you because of mental problems.

I HAD 2 QUIT MY JOB THIRTY YEARS AGO BECAUSE OF DEPRESSION.
HAVENT WORKED SINCE.
HAVENT QUALIFIED 4 DISABILITY EITHER.
DRAWING SOCIAL SECURITY.
HAVE HARD WORKING HUBBY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you are working with jerks ..they can't ..have any understanding of depreshion ..you did what you needed to do ....it is none of there bisness ...what you do outside the office ....is none of there bisness ....I am very sorry that you are going through this ...and we know when we need to get our meds adjusted ...especualy if we are working and dealing with people ..and can't always weaight for apointments......I know how hard it is to weaight for an apointment ....take care ..God bless
