I am taking 150mg of Zoloft a day. I find it works moderately to help me control my anxiety. I take a "booster" anti-psychotic to have it help with the depression more, because I seem pretty treatment resistant. Until now, I guess.
It's difficult to say whether sexual side effects are caused by the drug, or by your depression. It's something to keep an eye on and speak to your doc about, but it takes about a month for things to really get going.
I have had no side effects with it. Many people don't. However, I was told by my pharmacist that it makes some people antsy and restless. So, maybe take it in the morning instead of later in the day if you aren't already. Whether or not it works with you depends on your personal brain chemistry.
I know it sucks to wait it out. I have been on several meds, none of which have done anything until now. But have hope, it works for lots of people. And since you're at a low dose, it can be increased up to 300mg I think, if needed.
