just listening to a song on the way home reminded me of my kids mother who killed herself over 3 years ago. why cant i get these depressed thoughts out of my mind? i know ill get blasted for asking this stuff since everyone here thinks i dont want change and love being miserable. maybe i do, maybe i dont, maybe its time to leave this earth?

No, it is NOT time for you to leave this earth, not at all. And I can understand why that would depress you. I lost my ex husband that I had 2 boys with, to suicide this last march and I still cringe on certain days. I am feeling so sad for my boys who have to deal with fathers day without their dad.. I just want that day to be over for them. They had enough trouble on his birthday that was at the end of May...Who is telling you that you don't want to change and get rid of the depression? How can anyone possibly know what you are going through?. Depression is very hard for people to understand unless they deal with it on a daily basis, weekly or monthly basis. And there are all kinds of different types of depression. I don't think for a minute that you want to stay depressed, I have no right to judge anyone. If I can help, that is one thing, but Judge? No...

the worst part about is i dont have my kids, they were taken from me and family court along with social services told me i cant see them anymore. i was weak and was drugged and drunk after sally died, isnt that great, i couldnt even stay strong for my kids. i really feel worthless and dont care about my life anymore. living like this is getting old

You still have time to turn this around, then you can see your children. Sorry; I know that sounds patronising and simplistic, but doesn't that give you a reason to keep going? Of COURSE these things will trigger you! You lost someone important to you and you lost your kids, and the two will always be connected. Songs can change my mindset from OK to deepest gloom in a matter of seconds.
