Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I am no expert .. by any means .. but often we make a lot of our lives hard. Sure .. bad things happen .. but add to that .. guilt, anger, low self esteem, .. no love for one's self, and we make our lives much worse than they need to be.
You say you are tired of living. I am assuming that is because there is no or not enough happiness in your life ... I GUESS.
It took me many, many years to realize exactly where happiness comes from. I looked for it and expected it to come from so many things ... all of which eventually became disappointments. I got to the point were I had no happiness .. could not find it .. anywhere.
Then .. I either finally got old enough or .. uhh .. dunno .. but I finally figured out what it is and where to find it. I am now never without it and am extremely grateful to have a life. It is the greatest thing that has ever happened ... even with all the bad .. and there was PLENTY of that and.. a lot of it ... I created.
When I quit creating my unhappiness .. and learned what it is and where to get it ... life became entirely worthwhile ... cherished .. in fact.
If you can love yourself .. more than anything else in the world .. you will find some happiness .... and that can grow .. fast. When you are happy, you can give it to others ... which increases your own. It is something that once you know 'how it works' .. it exponentially enlarges. It is 'in there'. Wake it up .. discover it .. be EXTREMELY kind to yourself .. more than anyone else is. Feel GOOD .. about yourself ... and that goodness will expand .. into your whole life.
Good luck my friend.
I think I know how you kind of feel. Reading your comment on reply #7 it sounds like you have been working hard to get what you want. I've done the same thing, I don't own a business but I do have a decent job, wife, children, home, etc....and I too get tired.
I read something once that made sense to me. it said "it's like climbing from one peak to the next and not taking the time to savor and enjoy what you have accomplished." So nothing ever seems satisfying, and that is exhausting!!
Don't know if this is the same tired feeling but hopefully it helps.
