Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
So far, I am doing better now than I have all year. My drug addiction recovery is going very well after I have officially blocked out everyone in my life that still uses. I am slowly starting to find some friends and have some great people on ds that are so supportive. However, one of my friends is mad at me over nothing. He has always liked me as more than a friend but we have gone through it all and know we would never work. He has become way jealous of everything I do and is constantly trying to start a fight with me. I should be at least not depressed but I am feeling so down. I am stressed and tired of my friend being like this. I should not let this affect me so much but it does. I am so depressed I don't even want to leave home. Even while writing this, I feel like I am having a panic attack so sorry if it does not make sense at times.
I always say "The ship goes down without the captain."
Meaning, no one benefits if you are not well. This is what's called boundaries and I'm sure there are people here to tell you about them.
