Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Any chance you could see the counselor every week? Are there any depression type support groups in your area or close by?
Perhaps volunteer with some community group? That would get you around other people and give you a chance to make new
friends as well.
Virtually every med I've taken(AD's) has caused nasty side effects so I have to rely on myself and playing with my dog to get through things...sometimes easier said than done though.
I'm glad the excercise gives you a break from your thoughts. Having major medical issues is problematic enough, I know, I have some my own self.
Meds can only do so much though, they can help with symptoms but aren't a "magic bullet".
Your memory can be affected by the stress of your illnesses as well as your depression.
Please try not to get into your "tomorrows" while you're in "today"...take things one at a time instead of trying to figure out what may or may not be in the future.
The only thing you have is today, if excercise helps, do you have any kind of other interest, like books, movies, hobbies, that you can also use?
Maybe just take a walk/sit outside and actually look at nature....sometimes that alone is very calming.....look with your heart, not just your eyes, you may very well be surprised at the wonder that Mother Nature provides.
There are no "easy" answers, if I knew any, I'd gladly share with you!!
I tried volunteering, but it't almost too hard, besides that partcular place didn't really need me. All my conditions are rather disabling. I am disabled so I have been able to work in quite some time. Actually, i've had 30+ jobs in my life and I am only 29. What happens is, I try really hard to work, then I find I just can't handle it, then I quite. Which then lead to me eventually trying again and again. I gave up a while back. I just can't work or even volunteer. I can't handle the smallest amount of pressure. I just lose it.
