Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.
You've learnt that online relationships aren't satisfying for you both emotionally and physically. So now you know to avoid them, and maybe just have friendships instead.
I admire that you know what you want, and who you want to be with that special someone. And I think it's important you're confident in that before you meet them because it's going to help you.
I find that looking for someone to be with doesn't help, or thinking every guy (or girl in your case) you meet could be 'it'. I think you should start off with being yourself no matter what. Throw those insecurities out the window, you don't know what people really think so I want you to forget about your doubts. Out there, somewhere, someone will like your looks, like how you interact with people, will like your personality...
I find that before you can fall in love, you have to love and be confident in yourself.
As for the not good enough for other people? That's up for them to decide, but from what i've read, they'd be stupid to write you off without giving you a chance. If they don't give you one, then be glad because you don't want someone who passes judgement like that. You want someone that will accept you for both your pros and cons. No one is perfect.
So please don't doubt and question yourself, you should focus on what you like about yourself and use that when you meet someone. Charm their socks off by being a great friend and being yourself. They will like more for being genuine, and before they even realise it they will find themselves liking you.
Let me know if you ever want to chat :) Best of luck! x B
