Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.
Truly it gets better even though at times it seems like it never will!!!

I feel i have no hope. I hope things get better.
I really don't know what led to my depression. But my story- I lived with my mom until she died of something... I was never really sure what it was, when I was 8. I moved in with my dad & step mom. Her two sons hated me, she hated me. Dad and her got a divorce, and I hardly ever get to see my two little half sisters. I have anorexia, but I'm not really able to tell the world, they'll have to figure it out on their own. I know that's awful. Three of my best friends cut. One is an alcoholic, and on suicide watch. I live with my dad and older sister in a trailer, and I have a 20-something year old brother I've never met. He was given up for adoption when my mom and dad were in college, or high school, I don't know. My family doesn't really get along that great.
There you go. My story. And, I don't deal with my depression. It's consumed me pretty much.
