Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.
Do you not feel comfortable talking to your friends? Or are you saying you dont have any friends to talk to? Life does get lonely at times and those periods of times feel like forever. However, you have to pull yourself out. It's harder then it sounds but I had depression at 19 and now im 25 and i still have my days. If your meds are helping but you hear things on them maybe try a different one? You have to talk to someone. I had a betray of trust with my parents too when i first had depression. I was so angry at them cause they asked for advice over something i was telling them. Nothing suicidal, but personal information. But I realized the only way to get through this was with people behind me and that started with my mom and dad. It wasn't easy, not at all but its a start. Would u try that?
