Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.

This is my first time posting a discussion on this website. Because I'm 18, I decided to check into the Teen support group, mostly because I hope to find people of my age range, with a higher sense of maturity.
Now, previously I had dated this girl for around two years. When I was diagnosed with clinical depression, our relationship started to suffer, and she ended up breaking it off with me. Less than a month flew by, and she was now dating another guy. Hurt? Yes I was. But it's in the past now and there's nothing I can do about it.
Then, I had a week fling with this other girl. It was mostly sex, and that ended rather quickly, leaving me confused, and, well, slightly used actually. Another attempt at another girl ended in her telling me that she's not able to carry a relationship at this time (bla, bla, bla, don't want to see you anymore, bla, bla).
And here's the harsh one. About two months ago, I had a week long relationship with this girl who had recently dumped her boyfriend (he's one of my good friends). Thinking the situation was okay, I proceeded with the relationship, but I noticed it was based heavily on sex. After learning that all she wanted was a physical relationship (and that she was sleeping with someone else) I decided to end it there and protect myself.
Now, it's been quite some time since I've had a serious relationship with someone that is not about sex. One that is based off truth, support, fun, and respect. That's where you come in.
It is my goal to get a girlfriend by December 31, and track all of the events that are happening to find out why I have a social disconnect that prevents me from maintaining a relationship for a long period of time. What I need from you is some logical analysis, and any advice that you can give me will be much appreciated.
Here's to an effort that will hopefully allow me to find a girl who understands me and build more self-esteem.

Gosh dude ur luck is pretty much messed up with girls....But the great thing about it is that you are dealing with it in a really mature way...
well most of the girls in their teens look for physical relationships, because of all the hormones and the emotional's needs...so it's rare to have a serious, long lasting relationship while ur a teenage...

WWWuut?I'm that in the politest sense, I really do. Sounds like you were just dating immature girls that just wanted sex, that's not your fault. I don't think you have any social disconnect and why are you giving yourself a time limit? Don't force it. Actually know and like them before dating them. Not like I'm some expert though I have dated the same guy for 3 years and I have a son with him and I'm only 18 so you say WWuut to me too lol.
