Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.
Anyway, as I said we pulled through. It can be annoying hearing them wax poetic about this new guy, but it does pass. They get over the initial rush, and things settle down. They either break up and need a shoulder to cry on before things return to normal, or their significant other simpley becomes old news and you can talk about other things. If you can hold on and feign interest for a few weeks (or sometimes months) things should get better.
If you want someone to chat with I'm around. I know it can get lonley always having to listen and not getting to talk.
