Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.
All of which is fine for a little while, but after hours or days it gets pretty miserable. The fix is pretty easy. Get your body OUT of being prepared for war and more relaxed. When your body isnt tense, your mind relaxes too.

There's another trick I've used almost as long, when you combine the two it gets very relaxing. I found a link to a pretty good "how to." If you look up "progressive relaxation" on youtube there should be some videos on it too.

As for the rest, try to remember. Life DOES get easier. It's like juggling chainsaws. Sure it is scary at first but after a while it gets a lot easier. You'll do fine.
