Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.

Or anyone you're comfortable with, really. Suppressing or ignoring your depression, or even thoughts of self-injury is only going to make it harder to manage. Even if it's just until you're old enough to get out there and start working towards getting better, or feeling better.
I'm sorry your friends are unsure about what to do in these situations. I feel like reaching out in general was a step in the right direction, even if it's online.
Regardless, I wish you the best of luck.
I’m very sorry you are going through a tough time. Do you have a support group that you meet in person? My friend’s daughter, 14 years old, experienced difficulties that made her feel alone and lonely. There’s a life group in her church but at first, she was hesitant to attend but through the encouragement of her Mom she joined. It’s been a year and I can see that she has improved.
You can try to join a life group in your local church. It’s better to be surrounded with people who will pray for you and encourage you in times of trouble. I hope that you will be comfortable sharing your feelings here in the forum and you will be blessed by the replies. I pray that you will get the support you need to help you get through this. God bless.
you can message me if you ever need it, i'm here for you.
if you want any suggestions on how to cope that are healthier and make you feel better let me know. i'm only 16 but i have a lot to share. <3
