Depression - Teen Support Group
Teen depression is marked by persistent sadness, discouragement, loss of self-worth, and loss of interest in usual activities. Depression can be a temporary response to many situations and stresses. Teens may be more susceptible to depression due to the normal maturation process, the stress associated with it, and conflicts with parents as they become more independent.
Please hold on. Lots of us are in the same boat, but if we hold on things have to get better. Our lives have barly started, and we can do so much. I get myself through the day by thinking about all the things I want to do someday. I can't die today because I want to publish a book, or go to Egypt. It doesn't always work, sometimes those dreams seem to far away, but it helps. On the dark days I just focus on breathing, and remind myself that each breath in an accomplishment. Every day that you live proves that you are strong and amazing.
I have scars on my arms. I don't try to cover them. A part of me desperatly wants someone to notice, even though I'll just lie when they ask. You are not alone.
I'm glad I met you. I would miss you if you went. People care.
Call someone or stay online tonight. Being alone in the dark never feels good.I am probably not saying the right things, but I am being honest. I hope I can at least help a little.
