I understand... you feel helpless. He feels helpless... It is one of the hardest things ever, trying to hold on while you wait for the meds to start to work. I wish I could send you guys to a nice tropical retreat, where there were no stressors for the next six weeks.
I also understand that these are temporary feelings for him, but when you are in it, you feel like it will be forever. He feels like the pain will be forever. WIth mine I did start to see very slight improvement after two weeks, so hopefully that will be enough... he will get through the two weeks he said he will give it, he will start to have a few good hours and he will see that it is starting to get better. By four weeks, he will be almost there, by six he will be feeling better and better.
I'm sorry, I wish I could really give you a big hug! I am sending one and thinking of you.
Come back again today, I will check in and see how you are doing.
Yeah you're right, I know this is only temporary, but at the same time I feel like we've been going through this for forever even though i know the worst of it has only been two months. I really hope that he'll start to see a slight improvement soon just enough to give him a little bit of hope. I also wish the anxiety meds would work too because that seems to be the most physical part of it for him.
I'm doing a little bit better I guess. I had to run to the employee bathroom earlier and have a little cry and that helped some. I still feel a little raw and wounded right now but it is what it is. One foot in front of the other I guess. :)
Yes... one foot in front of the other, one day at a time... moving forward.
I hope today brings about smiles and happiness for you! I am so sorry to hear he is having such a difficult time. It is odd because at times that he tells me that it is just too much and he can't take any more I at least feel like he is communicating with me and i try to be grateful for that. Just think of those times of silence... those are the worst to me. I so strongly fear what is going on in his mind at those times.
I have not gone through the meds whatsoever... mine is totally against taking them so we don't go there. But I know that feeling of helplessness. And that feeling of seeing helplessness on the face of your love! These times are so difficult... I am truly sorry that I cannot do anything to ease the pain.
Just know we are here for you and you are not alone ever!
And welcome back!
