Depression Supporters Support Group
This community is dedicated to spouses, children, relatives, co-workers and others who are actively supporting someone suffering from depression or other serious mental illness. Depression can bring about intense sadness, melancholia or despair that has advanced to the point of being disruptive, which can have a grave impact on the ability of others trying to help.
I'm sorry that your husband is putting you through this. I have not experienced anything similar so I will not try and suggest anything of which I have no knowledge about. I do hope you continue to post what you are going through as pain shared is pain lessened (borrowed from my support network).
I wish you all the love and support through this difficult time. Do something nice for yourself today and try to take a few minutes out to meditate (i.e., read, pray, etc.).
Dancinggrandma is right about you not having the power to fix your man, I know you know this... we have talked about it many times here. What is in your power is your own feelings and your own path. Try to remember to focus on you... I can tell you do this, but it always helps to be reminded.
Keep venting to all of us. :-) Take care Brownie!
Nice to hear from you newlywed! :)
Nappy... Welcome! I appreciate the support- that is the best thing I gain from this site is the loving support :). I love to hear from everyone on here!
Dancing... You are not the first to mention codependency or alanon to me. I always assumed there is NO WAY I was codependent or in need of those groups or forms of help. I think I might not understand what they mean exactly- I am going to look them up today and begin understanding :)
Thank you to you all!
