Depression Supporters Support Group
This community is dedicated to spouses, children, relatives, co-workers and others who are actively supporting someone suffering from depression or other serious mental illness. Depression can bring about intense sadness, melancholia or despair that has advanced to the point of being disruptive, which can have a grave impact on the ability of others trying to help.
Today, I thought about the word purpose; That which is set up as an objective to be reached or accomplished, reason for being.
If we isolate historical events and all other learning processes that helped to shape our thoughts and feelings about each other like race, sexual preference, religious theology, structural class systems, language, culture and all other things and isms that separate us from each other - What would be your purpose and reason for being ?
One of my non scientific reasons for depression is isolation from love and life..Lack of purpose, lack of reason for being.
So if we deleted the bull s... we have been taught and start with fresh minds; What would be you reason for being ?

Because we would have no knowledge of the previous mess we had created on this planet, then maybe we'd use our natural God given gifts, ( because each of us were born with a special gift to be used for a positive contribution to humanity. ) Each of us have purpose and reason for being. If my purpose was simply to make you smile and laugh, then that's purpose enough. I wasn't just put here to buy a car and a house. Our talents suggest we have purpose and reason for being.
So those of us who are depressed, remember, we need you because you have purpose and reason for being,
