I have more to add... but I have to run right now... I will add soon ;)
Then go out and make your own friends for us to get to know! I was telling him of a newer friend I have made over the past few months. She is very nice and doesn't have many friends. He is BEGGING me to invite her over. It's a lot of pressure on me! What am I suppose to do? Just try to make friends for him?
On the bright side him wanting her to come over is a plus but he goes through this phase a couple times a year and then it turns out poorly overall.
His social anxiety goes different in his hometown. The friends he has there he has had forever and there it is more the situation he is put uh not the people. But he just gives everyone and everything more of a chance there... He's admitted it himself.
One last thing, mine too talks of being a "trophy husband". I never wanted to be the only provider. I never wanted that at all. So my goodness... If you don't like it then don't be it. Ugh. Like I've said before, I love him dearly and I know you love yours. It is hard because they mean the world to us and yet they can't be happy with just that. And when things are good, there's no way they could be better or I could be happier. But when things are bad... You know.
