So for the past three weeks he has taken an upward turn. A very slow... But still positive turn. I take a long time to recover from his deep depression episodes... Longer than I wish. But I believe it's my own mentality preparing myself to not get too comfortable and to always e prepared for his next down turn. So a few days ago he turned... He's slowly falling back down. Just like he slowly came back up:.. I feel he's trying to fight it. He's trying to not go there- but today I feel the beginning of it really settling in. He's distant, cold, angry... He's going there.
It's so unfair- it was the longest bought of his depression we'd ever gone through.. Two hardcore months! He would hardly get out of bed! He wouldn't eat, he wouldn't walk, he just laid there depressed, angry, silent, crying! And FINALLY he started moving on Valentines Day. He made me dinner... Since then he's been returning. He gets up and dresses everyday. He eats and exercises and does little things around the house. And today he's falling- I have to be proactive I feel. I'm not sure what to do to help him from going there. Im not ready to deal with him being there- I simply cannot! It's too hard.. I bought a book "what to do when someone you love is depressed." it's difficult to read because he can't know I'm reading it- so its in my bag in my car- there's gotta be something I can do to help him, I need to. I'm just so not ready to go back to where we were.
