My Mom is really falling apart!She still knows how to put on a good front for the doctor so he doesn't think shes too bad! But living with her!?! Right now she climbed on a chair trying to reach something in a cabinet and really limps! Won't let me take her to doctor, called ambulance but she refused their help and they listened to her even though I told them she had dementia, couldn't answer their questions about day, date, President, etc,! I want a nurse to start coming in to check her !x a week so maybe she'll see what I see! How do I go about getting that service? I have no one to help me but this board so please help me!
This is when I miss Tigg2. She had all the answers to questions such as this.
She always suggested it. Here in Canada, we call social services, they usually recommend something and/or evaluate them.
They are quite helpful in providing information on assisted living and a number of other situations.
I can't even tape Dad because it's illegal in Illinois. Since he's threatened to beat me up, I've stayed away, monitoring with phone conversations.
