I just received a second treatment of traction from my PT today.

It provided wonderful (though temporary) relief. My PT said that I might want to consider getting a traction unit for home use.

When I got home I saw an advertisement for a "Neck-Air Traction System."

It looks like a good idea for me as I am not living in my own home so setting up a unit similar to what my PT has in his office is not really feasible for me.

I just wanted to know if this system is really likely to give me similar results to having my head pulled up by weights.

I love how it feels to get traction at P/T. I have been looking into getting one for home. The pneumatic one they use where I go, cost a few hundred dollars, and based on my research, people w DDD should not use the over the door ones. The one you found looks good and for only $10 I think I'm going to get one! Amazon.com has a few air ones as well. I think it's a good bet.

My traction experience was just the opposite of what you said.
I had it for 2 months and everytime I had it I felt worse. The last one was 75 lbs and I could barely walk for 3 days. Just wanted to share that with you
