I am 35, and have had degenerative disc disease in my L5/S1 for almost 11 years. I herniated my disc and immediately was showing signs of disc dessication in a 3 month follow up MRI in 2001. Now, almost 10 years later, I have climbed the pain ladder, taken a plethera of drugs, and am currently looking at having to have injections. A recent MRI confirmed severe degeneration, neural foraminal narrowing, and facet arthrosis at the L5/S1 level. The pain is increasing, the mobility is decreasing. Physical therapy can do nothing more, I'm tired of taking medications just to function, and I'm here to research and talk to those who are suffering just like me.
