Hello all,
I have been diagnosed with DDD, some areas of stenosis, spondi--something or other in my neck, osteoarthisis, and have fibro.
I get spasms, and twitches, pinches and electrical type zaps throughout me body. And I have terrible migrains at least 2 times a month. My neuro says he can't find anything wrong with my nervous system even through the MRI of my brain should may white spots. He told me to "Forget about the white spots."
Sometimes it feels like I have a hot poker running through the palms of my hands. I have been tested for carpal tunnel syndrome and it is not that. I was wondering if anyone with DDD experiences this feeling? , More recently I have been getting joint pain in different places my feet, when at rest, and during walking.
Anyways, do any of you have that hot sensations in the center of your hands, and/or the joint pains in your feet? Just wondering what I can attribute these two pains too.

Doesn't you doc have you on something like Neurontin (Gabapentin) or Topamax?? Those are seizure meds, but they found out that they work for nerve-type pain, which is what you're experiencing. Ask you doc about putting you on some -- it should really HELP that sensation!!

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I am on Gaba; the highest dose that is allowed. It has helped very much, but it hasn't completely taken away these symptoms. Now that you mention it, I also get that hot poker feeling in my thighs, right above my knees, or in near my hip.
It is good to know it is coming from my spine. Thank you again.
