Hi I have got my MRI tests results today. I have problems in C4 and C5 of my spine and have to be referred to the surgical team.


I have degenerating decibus bulge. My sister asked me how can you have so much degeneration at a young age. I said its wear and tear.

It all started off with a pain in my neck which I put down to bad posture when I am massaging clients. Then a week later my right arm was tingling and felt pins and needles. It's been like that ever since. Then I had an MRI and found out I have DDD

I have DDD in my C5 as well. This started in February 2019. I have been in so much pain. I also have a pinched nerve so my arm goes numb and starts to tinglie and muscle spasm. Some days are worse than others. I can’t afford to go for physical therapy because my insurance doesn’t pay for it. There are nights that I can’t sleep because of the pain. I have been doing acupuncture which helps for awhile. I wish I could find something else to help as well.

I am having physiotherapy monthly at the moment but eventually I will have to do these exercises independently because the National Health Service cannot pay for it long term. However I have been given some exercises to do. I could send them to you as a one off email if you like.
I have the tingling in my arm and the numbness I cannot sleep without that arm being in the air.
I saw the surgeon and he wants to do a guided CT injection into the nerve which should last a while but i refuse to have this because it will weaken my bones. Apparently you can only have these 3 times in your lifetime.
Deep tissue massage is helpful but costs.
