Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.
Also, the only reason you have to be constant with vitamin K intake is so that it doesn't cause drastic shifts in the INR value, so when you're off warfin that won't apply so you won't have to be as ridgid.
I'll ask my nutritionalist friend some more advice on this one, as the time to come off warfarin is very near for me so would be curious too as to what the do's and don'ts are for life after coumadin!! Will get back to you...

I will admit, getting back to eating w/o planning was a big perk of comin off drugs!
also, one other thing my friend (the nutritionalist...) told me is that it may help to eat garlic (raw or cooked) after coming off warfarin. it naturally and only slightly thins the blood a little, and is proven to help reduce things like heart attacks/strokes/ PEs and DVTs and so may help ease any worries about future blood clots. Can also take it in tablet form, like a suppliment. I've put my order in for a pack as I'm off the warf in about 4 weeks now and am bricking it!!!
