Hsving had a single clot in my right leg, I never had pain related to my DVT in BOTH of my legs, I don\'t know.
Maybe this is a good enough reason to call your GP or see you Hematologist or your cardiologist or simply go to the ER and have it checked out???
Better know what is happening to you and have it taken care of now, as oppose to wait not have it checked out and have to phone an ambulance because it gotten WORST.
That\'s my suggestion, I know, it really sucks having to wait in ER and then to be told that there is nothing wrong or you simply have to do this or that.
It\'s up to you really...

I have this in my left leg from the knee down. Compression socks, and elevation seem to help. I was released fron the hospital 02-04-09. It takes time. I am walking 2 miles a day, and sometomes the back of my leg hurts so bad I have to stop. I had left leg DVT in 07, and right leg in 09. I suggest you take everyone\'s advice and call the doctor. Also ask them about massaging your leg as you said above. I don\'t think that is good to do at your stage. It seems to me massaging may cause clot to break away. It takes time to metastisize the clots. Good luck.

Well, I went to my doctor and she said it could be several things. She is running tests for new blood clots, a lower spine injury or "pinch", or maybe muscle degeneration from the Coumadin. I had a dopler, spine xray (both came up negative), and blood work. I\'m still waiting on the blood work results. I went home with a prescription for Tylenol w/ codine. I tried Capsasin on the back of my legs, boy did it burn! I think I had a reaction to it. If its not one thing, its another! At least my legs stopped burning this morning!! I\'ll keep everyone up to date as the blood work comes in.

I found that if I push myself too much my legs will hurt. So I look at it as my body is saying slow down. When Im watching tv now I always have pillows under my legs now to elevate them. I went from not being able to walk to walking in about 2 weeks when I was good about keeping my legs elevated and off my feet as much as possible. Im back to work again so I am feeling pain again but not as bad as before. I see it may be something else too... best of luck

I agree that massaging at this stage is not a good idea. I think I read here about someone's clot dislodging and forming a PE from massaging. I am also not sure if a hot tub is okay. You might want to ask your doctor.

The way I understand it the Capsaicin is for joint pain. I just used it for shoulder pain. My mom told me before I got it to use a very small amount. I overdid it a few times, and it does burn.

You didn't mention compression stockings. I would highly recommend them, drinking lots of water, and build up your activity, prop when possible, etc.

I experienced pain in both legs along the veins for at least two or three months. My doctor would examine me each visit and press along the veins to see if they were inflamed, hard, soft, etc. That's how I knew that the pain I was having was in the veins. He gave me a shot of I think Decadron (cortisone). It helped a lot, but I think that it's not good to take too much of it. My pain was mostly in the DVT leg with some in the leg with slow flow.
