Oh my, I have been remiss. I should let all of you know my full name, which is Countess Catatonia Lwaxana Troi. I am Daughter of the Fifth House of Catatonia, Holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx, Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed.
I shall serve as our ambassador as we travel the galaxies, humbly being the one who first communicates with alien species in a gracious, non-threatening manner so as to effect friendship and good will between and among all creatures that we encounter. This is my specialty (well, I have a few, actually, but we need not go into that now).
That said, you crew members may call me simply Catatonia. However, should we be in the presence of new "friends" please use my full title as a sign of respect. If you REALLY get close to me, and some just may, I will permit you to call me "Cat" - but don't take advantage of it.
