Here I am ;-) - I havent been posting here lately for 2 reasons: (1) I've been going through quite a lonely/boredom syndrome lately and (2) this group seems to have gone into oblivion, Chesty will be back shortly. He's going through his own problems, too,

I hope you take this the right way since knowing Hoops is going through a difficult time meant a lot to me since I can pray for him, he has been a faithful friend of mine and his absense is felt very much in my life. Thank-you for sharing this with me Unicorn, I am grateful for your doing so.

Unicorn, I am also going through a difficult time myself and yet knowing others are going through a hard time makes it easier for me, this place means a lot to me, I have friends here who mean a lot to me.

I think this is the first presidential election I may not vote. Obama is pulling the US into Canadian medical practices which is a horror and I think Romney is a complete phony - inept and 100% liar.

Vernon, Chesty is not sick - he has other problems that will soon be solved.

In order to get our regular people back maybe we should go back to square one which is diabetes. That's what this group originally started as and we veered off into some ridiculous topics although I think the restaurant is partially a diabetic subject. I cant run the restaurant alone so until people return I have rented out the space for temporary storage.

I think the best thing we can do is to be here for each other whenever we can be here. I've had more health problems than usual lately and missed a lot of time online. I apologize for that.

I hope everyone will help us keep topics going and post new ones too. All input is appreciated! We need to start a membership drive maybe?

the problem of it being all about diabetes is we are all too well informed about the subject
and nothing new is really happening except more sufferers Maybe

I an't think of any advice or info most of you are not aware of

most of the stuff in the papers is just speculation about a possible breakthrough
Since the last range of treatments were banned because of side effects the drug companies seem to just be reformulating all the old stuff
They sent me a new meter this one measure B/G and also another type of read out which i don;t really understand
It just makes the strips more expensive
I am thinking of buying one of those watch things that can give out a reading every 10 min or so and just use it 2 Days a week
I am due a Hba1c next week and I'm sure it will be high

I am sorry, I didn't mean to say he was sick, I was bothered by some new problems and yet he has been on my heart often so as far as I am concerned, I care about what he's going through so I will pray as I am able.

I know we are all experts in the diabetic field. This comes from years of experience and the internet. But perhaps we can attract some members by posting some diabetic topics
