Sick Dog

A friend of mine's dog went down with some kind of diarrhoea vomiting sickness Now the dog is only 2 years old
He take it to the Veterinary. They keep it in and operate on it and gives it special food and antibiotics after the operation.

My Friend who has no savings and is on incapacity benefit and cannot work as he has a bad back.

Because of this he qualifies for a grant which payed the $4.000 Vet Bill . Good luck to him and the dog'

I don't have a dog but if you got a very sick one is sure pays to be on the sick list yourself
at least in the UK

I wonder if diabetic dogs qualify for insulin Wouldn't surprise me

Vets are SO expensive these days! I haven't heard of a program like that here, but I do know of vets who have taken charity cases. There are free spay and neuter programs. People's pets are having in tough in this economy. Meals on Wheels here sends pet food as well as meals because many people were sharing their meal with their pets.

AWESOME STORY.... love that there is help out there.. because our pets are our family as well.. some people, their pet is all they have for their family and they love them unconditionally and yet we still cant return the favor and care for them like we would love because of a money strap :( maybe one day the good gods will rain down on all countries and we shall be equal :) no more refugees no more immigrating because home will be the same as you and me...who am i foolin though.. :(

My dogs have been like my children. My Great Dane I'll never get over. I'll always think he and God sent this mixed breed angel to me. She insisted on moving in. After losing Quazar I really did not want another dog....now I don't know what I'd do without her.

A school Buddy had a Great Dane. It had its own sofa in his house to flop down on I can remember him laying with his big head resting on the arms watching what was going on

a Beautiful friendly beast. all the kids would go to his house just to see and talk to the dog.

Needless to say anyone who visited his house ended up talking about the dog.

They are amazing dogs. Quazar weighed 175 pounds, but was just a big baby. He had 2 blue eyes and was just gorgeous.

I remember my grandparents having a yellow dog and we would go for walks and it was good for me and the dog had more pep in the cold months and I would raise my voice when I saw a squirell and I would say, Squirrel Alert and she would go to barking, I shared this before, but sadly she died, but I was reminded of the times we went walking, animals can be such a blessing, but I love my stuffies and they raid the fridge at night and replace all the food for me the next day, but they help me sleep at night.

I hope I helped this topic since I am not trying to change the topic and now, Thank-you Daddys lil girl, I know you, but forgive my not remember the name, your posts are a blessing to me when I see them.

It would be a good start if all people treated there animals like they should or find someone who can since there are nearly always people who would love an animal they can love and be loved by.

I lived with my grandparents from 1987 until 1992 although I lived in the same place until 1999 with Jack Black who not many years ago died too, I wanted to clear up how long ago this happened.
