I always thought a pressure cooker and a crock pot were the same thing. I hope you have a big kitchen!
The subway things seem fairly good if you just have the long filled rolls and give the fillings a miss
Must go its Tea time,
Keep warm with that tea! :)
Now they have the electric ones which seem like a good idea but never used it so not sure. No ideas for you it has been too long but to me the food is better more control over cooking it with a pressure cooker.
The only reason I have a crock pot now is cause I had it. So it comes in very handy when I don't feel good, I can put throw a chicken in there and vegies and seasonings and let it cook forever if I am to sick to get up. For that reason I love it, it is my invisible man cooking for me!!!!LOL
I think you asked about a steamer? I have a steamer I bought like 10 years ago and it was the best money I spent on something. It looks like a food processor but it is great for vegies, corn, potatoes, you name it you steam it and and the flavor stays in the vegies. For a diabetic or anyone really who should eat vegies this is a must have except for Arline cause she hates em!!!
Goldie you have a Bullit, call it by it's name now!!! I don't have a blender anymore, I used to, I used it for drinks mostly at partys and making milk shakes for the kids!
I think Arline wouldn't like a crock unless she was ill. JMO I do a lot in my toaster over in the summer. It is a big one so I can do a meatloaf in there and potatoes. It doesn't heat up my kitchen so much.
Yes, I have a bullit and I love it! I do love smoothies though, so I use it a lot for that. I personally dont think Arline would like any of these newer appliances. She would have to want to try something different. I do think she would really appreciate a crock pot if she was ill though.. good hot chicken soup always there..
Took a week to find and clean up the mess that it blew all over the kitchen.
They might have improved a bit since then as I am going back some 50+ years ago now.
I will stick to the crock pot thanks.
We do have toaster over which has two hot plates on it but it is still in it's box we bought it for the future as we cant use it here - takes too much power to run it.
I have a blender and food processor and use them all the time.
I do roasts in the oven - mainly cause it is gas and we have to limit our power use where we can - and we would have one at least three times a month if not more. We love them and it is a healthy way to enjoy the meat and vegetables - makes a nice change from boiling and steaming all the time.
I don't think any amount of advertising would entice me to buy one.
OK - Crock-pot for me.
