Dealing with Diabetes2 and remembering Goldi Community Group
A support group for individuals with Type2 diabetes. Encouragement, empathy, advice, and personal experiences from members dealing with the illness. A friendly environment with compassion and support as our main objective.
One of the articles I was reading saying that diabetic people are concentrating on blood sugar levels but equally as important is cholesteral.
Unfortunatly the home cholesteral testing kits are not too reliable and only give total cholesterol and you really need a blood test for a complete breakdown of all the factors.
I got one of those meters with a usb you just plug into the computer and it downloads the readings
the software comes up with all kinds of charts and graphs you can print off
just like you can take them along to the doctor to go over with you.
My consultations are so short its hardly worth sitting down.
Mind you it looks good if you have a colour printer with all the graphs and pie charts
And just great for getting rid of visiting relations who have overstayed their welcome
I would imagine that would get rid of overstaying visitors... just like playing all those old family films would do lol
LDL is bad, and HDL is good, I thought of the fat floating for HDL although I first thought that you were saying eating a half loaded plane full of nuts was recommended which sounded good to me, but not easy for even me. WHEW!!! Thank-you for posting about these, I love nuts since they have lots of protein and I got some unsalted Dry Roasted Peanuts which are not as good as low sodium nuts and yet that helps me control how much I love. I know some cholesterol is good for health, but it must be that diabetics have way too much of it.
Sodium ZERO!!!
