I know its tough to witness this going on. Dating someone with children from another, even if she's peachy, requires emotional strength to pull back and disengage. Be supportive of him but try not to get emmeshed in it. It will drive you crazy. Focus on creating a loving relationship and have FUN!!!!

Well, on his own, he finally told the kids to piss off. I guess his friends and family have been telling him to tell the kids off too.
We have a great relationship and we have a lot of fun. Its just every holiday, he just breaks down and agonizes over his kids. I think things will get better when he accepts what's done is done. I know it will be very hard this Christmas, but I know things will get better.
I can't really be a step parent to grown kids that are never around.
