To be able to quote people in the forums...A button to push much like an "edit" button that would automatically put that quote into your comment box.

It would make it easier to reply to comments withing the post...

Less confusion....

Easier than having to type out the comment and re writing it wrong.

I think I brought this to your attention before, but I couldn't remember.

I'm not sure if this will add congestion to the posts and the site, readability volume and slowing the site down.

Not sure how that would work with everyone doing it.

it shouldn't slow anything down and it would help when answering a question .

For now instead of re-typing what someone else wrote just use Copy/Paste.

They have this capability in some of my other online communities, boy you guys have no idea what you are missing out on...

At least this way if you don't like the idea you know what I was talking about.

With some good HTML coding it may be impossible to edit the quote; however it may be necessary to quote their entire reply.

This is reminding me of the old story of the bumble bee. The story goes that a grad student had proven using the laws of aerodynamics that it simply could not fly. The professor responded "perhaps, but the bee flies despite all this"

Perhaps we need to get the DS tech people to look into this and see if such a tamper proof (resistant?) feature is indeed possible!

ps, the "arrogant student" in this story is me when I was thinking of all the reasons why such a feature would not be possible. Not picking on anybody else but me!
