Is anyone else having problems tonight? My computer is running so slowly and I don't know if it is me or DS.

Most wireless boxes have settings you can use that require a person be on an approved list to use the signal. I have mine set so that only wireless PCs owned by my family can use my signal. Well, that and our Wii.

Check your documentation, and you may want to check the web site of the company that made your wireless router.

I have also heard, and this is just urban legend, that hackers often put some sort of chalk mark (like grafitti?) that marks areas where unprotected wireless signals are available.
