Always blaming something. You are on my safe sender/not spam. As a matter of fact DS is in my contacts list. I was getting them just fine, as were many of my friends, and then they just stopped. There are other threads commenting on these same issues

Please, look at your side and see what your doing wrong instead of constantly saying it's a members problem.

I do hope the advice given makes a difference? I don't think their advice will change your email notifications.
I'll tell you what I noticed about notifications for email:
I get an email notification when a member sends a brand new email. However if they reply to an email I started ( you know when it come up re re re) then I don't get a notification.

I understand and share your frustrations about this poor version of D.S and the team behind it.

Same here!!! Absolutely NO reason why it would be our spam program. Especially given the fact that their canned responses come thru just fine.

My alerts suddenly stopped completely. (Not the first time by any means.) And now, I get a sporadic ones every once in a while. Turning in a request is a total joke. Nothing but canned responses & NOTHING gets fixed. Yet ds stills want us to rate their non-existent "service!"

I suddenly stopped getting email notifications too. No one to blame but DS so it would be nice if they stopped blaming everything else.

I recently reported some spam in another group and I wrote DS through the feedback form when I clicked on help up above and I didn't have any trouble getting them to look at it and remove the offending person. Their emails came through just fine.

But I remember when I was getting rid of spamming emails, I clicked for the whole page to be checked because I had so many and then I clicked "Block". Little did I know that an email was buried somewhere in all that spam that came from my bank and I was never able to get email from my bank again because I have no idea how to unblock, blocked mail on outlook. That was a mess because then I had to call them repeated and give an alternate email and answer all of their trick questions. I hope I never have to go through that again.

This has nothing to do with DS, I know, but just saying that it is pretty easy to not get email from places you would expect to get it from.

Thank you for your thoughts, Bob. I do see how that could happen to many people, it is good information to have. I am very careful to delete or file each individual email. In this case, my DS email has its own designated email account and I never discard anything from it. The notifications just stopped and I have received emails from other friends saying they can no longer access journals to write or comment in addition to receiving zero notifications. It is all intermittently broken stuff they just are not willing to recognize.

Eight or nine ears ago, immediately after the migration from hell, all of my email alerts stopped, as did many of my friends. ds blamed everyone but themselves. They went so far as to suggest we all create new email addresses. All that did was cause many of us to have yet one more email address where no ds email alerts arrived.

At that time, I called my IP (a very big, nation-wide IP), They checked their servers to make sure that they hadn't blocked ds from their end. They had not. They even gave me a phone number for ds to call to check some other technical stuff. I sent that info to ds and never heard from them. I also NEVER got another email until this last migration.

And now, the only email alerts I get are for hugs. No more journal comment alerts or group post alerts or anything else that I have checked.

Shortly after the last migration from hell (right after the supposed beta test (which was a total joke), I couldn't sign in and I couldn't get any email alerts. Since ds just ignored by pleas for help, I created this account using a different email addy. Up until a couple of weeks ago, I was receiving alerts. HOWEVER, they NEVER honored my selections as to alerts I do and don't want to receive.

I promise the dear readers of this post, it is NOT on your end. It is almost a DECADE LONG issue that ds CHOOSES to NOT FIX.

For this situation, my DS email has its very own assigned email record and I never dispose of anything from it. The warnings simply halted and I have gotten messages from different companions saying they can never again get to diaries to compose or remark notwithstanding accepting zero notices. I have been here from well over a decade and I am so disappointed to see how things have gone down hill.

I am also only getting hug alerts and that is nice. But I just don't have the time to jump from page to page on every group to see what is going on.

You have to get with it DS. You are losing to FB. :-) Not me of course but many others.

I so hate to answer myself. I just soooo know that DS will get it together. Oh and p.s. There is a bridge that I am buying. It's all golden here.
