I would like to add, it's not a picture file or anything someone is trying to send me..This usually happens when I'm not even logged on.

Do you know the name of the file? Are you sure it is not your firewall asking you for permission? Can you be more specific .. what program is presenting the popup .. browser, firewall, ? ? ?

I'm not computer smart sorry, but I will try to be mores specific.

Umm it's a grey box, it resembles one you would get when you are trying to copy a picture that you need to download first. I recall it having 'messenger' and 'meebo' in the name among other stuff...I think. Umm umm..

I don't think it's my firewall because I haven't done anything to change it recently.

No, .. you are not stupid. Computers can be very confusing. I have a suggestion:

Next time the popup appears .. let it sit there and while it is there, hit Print Scrn key (top edge of your keyboard).

Then (assuming you are running Windows XP), open MS PAINT .. probably under Start, All Programs, Accessories, PAINT.

When PAINT opens, click EDIT (at the top of the window), then click PASTE. You will see a PICTURE of the message. Click File, SAVE AS .. and change the FILE TYPE to JPEG and the SAVE IN to DESKTOP.

Close Paint.

THEN .. upload untitled.jpg (on your desktop) to your DS Photo Album and PM me. I will take a look at it and advise you as to what is going on.

Notice . this will reveal to me your DESKTOP as it appeared with the notification window. Out of respect for your privacy, you may or may not wish to provide this picture of this desktop.
