Hi all! I'm Jessica, and I just joined TeamDS in March. You may have seen me around the discussion boards here and there.

DailyStrength has been invited to participate in the Run Thru the Redwoods 10K race, http://www.runthrutheredwoods.com/ , and guess who's doing the actual running... :)

This is the first race TeamDS has ever participated in, so we would really love your support!

Best of luck to you! I'm a bit old for a 10K race. But a 10K hike on level ground with plenty of rest stops, ...

... that is something I could consider!

ahhhh. I'm not "racing" per se. there are hikers and walkers doing this one too. me, I'm more of a jogger than anything right now :) and never too old pepperman!

Good luck Jessica. It sounds like it will be a beautiful and challenging 10K. We're pulling for you.You'll be doing it for a lot of us who can't anymore.Way to go!

I would love to join you but I think I am on the other side of the country! (Pennsylvania). I love walking and running which has replaced smoking for me. Godd luck to you!

Jessica I think I will have to give this one a miss as it is a bit far to travel from Australia. LOL
Must admit I have never seen them use in the "runs" here, wheelchairs but not walkers. At the moment I only need one for long distances - 10K is a pretty long distance for me.

Good luck. I cannot think of a more beautiful, peaceful place than the Redwoods. Makes me homesick. :-)

Think I'll hang w/pepper & hathani...they're about my speed. Hey guys, I'll bring the snacks if you bring the drinks. :p)
