When I post a news article on my group homepage, the Daily Strength Website sends out anywhere from six to twenty email messages about the news article to each member of my group.

I only click on the submit button once, so only one email message should go out to each member with each news article.

Some group members have complained that their email accounts are flooded with multiple copies of the same email. Worse, this problem has caused some people to quit my group.

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem or if anyone has addressed the problem yet.

Anyone else have this problem? Help!

I have just notifed DS of your post. I am sure it is part of the 'notifications' problem that they are working on.

I think I would appreciate having many rather than none.
Then again I can see how it would be a problem having up to 20 or so.

Hope they can sort things out.

I just got over 15 messages of the same message from the same person...and they keep coming!!!! Like 1 per minute....I think it is funny!!!! I felt popular when I saw I had 15 messages....:):):)

Yes I had that happen - not that many though - Got 5 copies of the same message and three of the same hug - but seems to have settled down - at least for now!

It seems that it's either feast or famine. I haven't gotten ANY email alerts for anything since the migration. And it's been 1 1/2 months since DS has answered my feedback. It was a request to be patient. um, my patience has run out.

I don't dare to post news articles in my discussion groups anymore because whenever I do, I lose members. The last time I posted a news article in A Laughter Club, about 50 people left the group in protest, with some of them telling me before they left that they had received as many as 282 automatic duplicate email messages as a result of my posting just one news article. This is incredibly depressing, because it took a lot of work over many months to get those people to join the group to begin with.

No, it's not my fault. It isn't the fault of my computer or internet service provider either. That leaves just one responsible party.

I got 20 notifications from news items just today from a group I am in. Sigh - Another glitch NOT resolved.
