Hey everyone- first of all, hope today is a good day for everyone!
I just wanted to know if you guys are experiencing the same frustrations as I am? I have never had problems with this site before when it was under different management (other leaders or whatever). But there are so many glitches and it has been over a week.
No chat, first of all, is detrimental. How are we supposed to support each other in crisis? When will Meebo be back up? I know they may not be able to help it, but the least they can do is give us a time frame.
Also, newsfeed is screwed up. No status updates, no photo posts, no journals. We can't connect with all of our friends unless we visit each and every one of their pages.
It's frustrating because nobody has responded to my pleas for help or answers. I messaged one of the three people who run this site (the woman, I forget her name) days ago, and no answer.
This site has been so helpful for me and so many others. I just hope some answers will be given soon, because this site isn't very useful as of now. =\

Good morning.81 and climbing this afternoon. Joanne I hope you and Mario had a lovely wedding anniversary! Sounds like a very worthwhile treat :-)There was just the 4 of us at ours at Bromley registry office. Yeah if there's a huge fire all crew at fire stations in the area and outside the area if needed will be called in to help. Doug and I bought a walking treadmill. I did 45 minutes...

Hopefully we get some answers, that's all I ask!
I can understand your frustration. The Chat feature/problem IS being worked on. An anouncement would be nice .. but for their own good reasons, DS chooses NOT to give an estimated time of 'repair'. We have to live with that.
As for replies to your inquiries ... DS is getting hundreds of them (I assume) .. and rather than PMs to DS staff, feedback forms are intended for such things. If you expect replies, I strongly suggest you use the feedback form ... as it is directed to the most appropriate 'channel'.
Even then, .. you may not get a reply .. as it is very unlikely DS doesn't already know about the problem you are reporting .. and are already working on it .. BUT STILL .. submit feedback form just in case.
I repeat .. I understand your frustration ... and feedback forms from MEMBERS are always welcome ... and helpful to DS. They DO 'process' them. At this time, .. it is a matter of VOLUME. Click on the following link to access the feedback form:

Here is a link to an OFF SITE chat room (while DS works on the MEEBO problem) which might be of interest to you. It is in NO WAY associated with DS:

for me, meebo chat is number one priority.
i'd also like to see edit and delete options for my own posts.
other than that, i really think this is a helpful and useful site.
Mermaid, did you send a fb form??

I am sure one feedback form per person per problem will suffice.
There is no notification when you get a new journal response (unless it was from a friend and showed up in the friend feed). It used to show up in the feed when you had a journal response from someone who wasn't a friend (if your journals weren't private). That was another thing that suddenly stopped one day without explanation and was never fixed.
You can't see the titles of your own journals if they are locked. So if you've been on this site for years, as I have, you have to search through tons of journals to try to find a specific one you might be looking for. You should be able to see the titles of your own journals no matter what.
Email notifications don't work for any major email provider, which is what the vast majority of the population use (gmail, yahoo, etc).
This site has so much potential, I don't understand why they don't fix the programmatic problems.
One feedback form per person for one problem. That is why I sent many. One problem after another....might have been from the same person, but the problems were different and at different times. I did stop sending them as I figured they (DS) was overwhelmed and they would fix it soon. But I still didn't want to take the chance that they might want to have our feedback.
I desperately miss communicating with friends, and there is no reason it should be taking this long to fix-if they fix it at all, that is =(
