First off, BIG thanks to the DS Team for getting chat up and running for the holidays. It's one of the worst times for me with all the food and chaos, and it's a load off my back to know I can sneak into another room and find a friend to chat with.

Just one quick question- I noticed when I am browsing through members on DS, the chat now button is not available- I have met a lot of new friends in crisis that way, and it only lets me chat now with people on my friends list.

I know only certain people have it enabled, but it literally lets me chat with no one. Anyone have any ideas?

Click MY ACCOUNT ... over to the left side of this page. Check your CHAT settings and see if they are set the way you want them. If not, select what you want ..and don't forget to save the change. Here are the choices:

Chat:

Everyone - Allow everyone to see when I am available to IM

Friends Only - Allow only my friends to see when I am available to IM

No One - Entirely remove the DS/Meebo Chat bar from my browser
