Hi I'm new here. I'm 24, my daddy passed away about 2 months ago. He left me, my 19 year old sister and my mom behind, and my sister and I live at home right now. I know my dad is in heaven, because he had a personal relationship with Jesus, and I miss him. But my biggest struggle is everything that is falling apart around those of us left. We are really struggling financially right now, and my mom is taking both the loss and the financial burdens really hard. I feel super super overwhelmed, as I am trying to find what I need to handle the grief myself, but also trying to be there for my mom. I just don't know what to do, and though I know Jesus also, I'm beginning to feel hopeless. Does anyone have any advice?

Do what you're doing! Reach out! My daddy passed away a year ago this month, and left me, my sister, and my mom behind. Though we are both older, we both wanted to take care of Mom. We have survived the first year by sticking together. We are there for each other during the rough times, and rely on each other. No ONE person can stay the strong one through this journey! So please reach out and get the support you need. Feel free to message me anytime you need to vent, talk, anything. {{{hugs}}}

Hello, My name is Cheryl, but my friends nicknamed me "LiL Russ" when I was young because my dad. His name was Russell. That's why you see "LiL Russ" up under the picture. I was a daddy's girl. I just now found this site after 32 months of searching for understanding. You see, my dad passed away March 10, 2011 of cancer. He fought it for a year. But God called him home. Now I was 50yrs old when he passed but to me, I was still his little girl. He was my hero. I miss he more and more every day. I have been dealing with his death by myself.....and I just cant handle it no more. So I hope that ya'll don't mind me joining in on your discussion.
