Just wanted to post another quick update-I'm 7 weeks post left adrenal removal. On 14 mg hydro (10 am, 4pm) with morning cortisol still showing at 0 after taking no hydro for 24 hrs. I'm tired and nauseated but hanging in there. I'm only down about 12 lbs so far and not eating much but was told until I'm off the steroids that it might be hard to lose the weight. BP is already significantly better. Even though I am feeling bad due to the adrenal insufficency I am feeling "better" overall. Just need Mr. right adrenal to wake up!
I'm also drowning in bills and trying to sort things out that are "not in network" but hopefully I can get all that taken care of for around $5K out of pocket. Would be a small price to pay...

It's great to hear that you're feeling better. It can take your body a long time to adjust, especially if you have had cushing's for a long time.

What exactly did you have done? Did they remove one of your adrenal glands?!? I'm expecting to have either a tumor from my pituitary removed or small carcinoid tumors removed from my chest. Did you have either one of those done?

She had a tumor on her adrenal gland, so they removed the adrenal gland with the tumor on it. Not that any type of cushing's is "easy" but that is the easiest type of cushing's to treat.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
