I just started going out in public myself.

My main advice would be to look for a cross dresser friendly area. Somewhere where there is a large LGBT area is a good idea.

Where I go is in the middle of what is know as the gay village in Manchester. I was in a night club last night where there were more cross dressers than anybody else. All the other people were cross dresser admirers LOL.

As for your voice, if you have got it to a good level definately use it, but if it still needs alot of work don't. Just talk with your normal voice.

Also if your voice is causing nervs choose a place which doesn't require talking like just being in a large mall or in the street. People don't usually just start talking to strangers so you can just be comfortable doing your thing.
