When was the last time you took your temperature? Pain in your Sacral-Iliac joint could be because of a pinched nerve (see a Chriopractor for basic stretches, or relief). OR, it could also be due to an infection in that lower area.
Question: Are you straining when you're using the bathroom? Do you have to force things out? That could be a reason you're hurting. Afterwards, if you have suppositories such as hydrocortisone, try using those after going to the bathroom (when your BM's are painful). Otherwise, afterwards, if possible, relax on your bed with a heating pad on your lower back, with a pillow between and under your knees for about 20 minutes. That should help relieve some of the pain and pressure, and SPASMS of the lower back.
You might also consider stretching throughout the day (when possible).
If you are bleeding... SEE A DOCTOR ASAP!!! It can get better... but chances with us (people with UC and CD), are that it WILL get worse. You need to get the bleeding under control before any progress can be made. Perhaps a steroid (Prednisone, most commonly prescribed) would be given, and something for pain... Vicodin or a Flexeril? Maybe even Robaxin (back muscle relaxer).
Good Luck to you! Any more questions.. we're here!

I never tried it. Stretching will definitely help though. I use a foam roller to get some movement in the hips which is what is aggravating my left leg and my lower back.
Good Luck!
