I will admit I have smoked for years. I do not like putting chemicals in my body and I hate the side effects. When I am smoking my CD does not interfere with my life and the UC is kept at bay. I did research and found outside the US many studies have been done. UC and CD are among the first illnesses that were found to be helped by pot.
As for it being federally illegal, we have a long history here in the US of civil disobedience against laws we disagree with. The laws are changing rather rapidly, for laws, and it will take all of us to continue that trend. If you accept the status quo it will remain so.
