It is important to work with your doctor - I know for me I 'd be prescribed one drug after another and like 3 days later I call the doctor ready to choke him... "This script is killing me..." some of these meds really caused more pain then the disease...
Have you tried dietary measures? Have you tried keeping a food diary so you can look back and see any triggers - like foods you are eating on days when you are flared? Stress, diet are a big part of the picture... I don't do any drugs - Just found through trial & error that avoiding certain dairy items and high sugar items - I'm in a different world - I been controlling flares for a long time by these measures - started with CD/UC in my early 20's ... I'm 52 now and still doing good! Hoping these measures would bless a few more people out there - good luck!
