Go ahead and have a good cry, I will cry with you today.
I feel like cring as well as you do and I find that cring and getting it out is a real relief.
Try not to let Crohn's get you down, the way I see it, is, it could be alot worse, right?
So just go with the flow and try to take one day at a time.
As for your friend, I feel the same way as Fraz, if it was your friend going through the bathroom issues then she/he wouldn't comment on what she/he has no understanding of!
I got ppl to who also tells me they know what I'm going through but in reality they don't!
I try to keep most of the issues I face day to day to myself but in the long run I am only hurting myself!
You should find someone that will listen and take into consideratiion your pain and issues, not someone who will say you are acting like a hypercondrac..... or how ever that is spelled!
It has nothing to do with the sight of blood- I've had many IVs and blood tests over the years, and as a teacher I sometimes have to deal with kids who skin their knees etc. But for some reason having major cramps and blood just terrifies me. :(
As soon as I stop flaring and not being in pain I feel so much happier-- I guess that's not a surprise really?
hang in there Star... we are with you
You will feel better, just remember the good days and the lovely things in your life.
You're very brave.
Also, to the post about bleeding, Who wouldn't be scared?
Be lucky all
Of course we are depressed. It is scary to think about getting out in public and needing a bathroom. Or worse for me: breaking wind unexpectedly during a meeting or anywhere there are people. I am only 5'1",125lbs but I can fart/belch as loud as any 6'6" drinking man! And it happens unexpectedly. Let those friends live with that a while and see how they feel.
Invite the friend over for the evening when you are sick and let them have full exposure to what you go through.
