I am so sorry you feel so lousy. Feel better!
I have tried Immodium - but have been told to be careful with too frequent use. I will use it occasionally, but my doctor told me to be careful. It is very frustrating... I have changed medication several times since the flare up started - but nothing has had a longterm effect. I have been better in periods and hope (!!!!!) that the progress continues. I hate being required to wear a pad or diaper, but I hate even worse to have accidents without protection. I am looking at my diet and try to find out what I can and can't eat. I have some ideas - but in periods the only solution to avoid accidents is to avoid eating when I am planning outdoor activity. Not smart or healthy - I know.
I am trying hard to be and think positive - sinking down in depression is not helping....
But you always need to be careful. I just weight when I am traveling or away from toilets to getting constipated or plugged up. It is not a long term solution. I just hope that you find a long term solution and get better. No one should have to live like this :)
Some comments: There are probably lots of good diapers. The Nasa undergarment is a diaper - they just don't talk about what it's for. But again - this is primarily designed for absorbing urine.
I have been seeking advice at a medical supply store - and I have been helped to find the most suitable there is I guess - but nonetheless this is products primarily designed for bladder control problems and also primarily for females. When I am forced to wear protection I want it to be as small and discrete as possible, it should be comfortable. I guess there are so many of us world-wide with these problems - and there are so many different products - why not tailor one for our problems?? Maybe I am whining - as a male this is my first experiences with wearing pads since my baby diapers - and I don't remember much from these days ;-) The females on the forum are probably more used to the challenges of a chafing pad etc.
Personally I hope I can forget the whole issue as I did with my baby diapers....
