after surgery

hi all , after surgery i am feeling good ,thanks to God, i am eating as muh as i can , but do u know what i am not geeting wieght as i expected . the doctors told me u will gain wieght but it does not happining right now. i have to worry for that ? well they took out 30cm from small and 20 from large intestine. is it very long to aborb foods and to use it for my body ?

so do i have to worry or.................?

mrewhope - I read once that it takes 3000 calories a DAY just to recover from surgery, then you have to add normal calories.
When did you have the surgery? It can take up to a year to recover fully and the bowel to absorb properly and settle down. Especially after a resection.

really nice information ,thank u . now i just made 15months , but i am not measuring my chalrries like your country , we just eat to make our stomcah full . i eat foods that makes me comfort too . most of our culture foods are not good for me , it is very hard too. hope i will gain soon ,if not i am happy ,at least i am free from pain . that is the most important thing .
